How to use the heic to jpg

  1. Add imagesDrop one or many images onto the box, or tap to choose them. HEIC photos from iPhone are supported.
  2. Choose the outputPick JPG, PNG or WebP. For JPG and WebP, use the quality slider to trade a little detail for a much smaller file.
  3. Optionally resizeSet a maximum width to shrink large photos - a big saving for websites and email.
  4. DownloadSave each file, or download them all together as a ZIP.

Why your iPhone photos are HEIC

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container). It keeps more detail in about half the space of a JPG, which is great for your storage, but many websites, older Windows PCs and some apps cannot open it. Converting to JPG makes the photo work everywhere.

Convert privately, in bulk

Drop in a whole folder of HEIC files and download them all as JPGs in one ZIP. The HEIC decoder runs inside your browser, so even personal photos never leave your device. If you would rather your iPhone saved JPGs in future, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?
Very little. At the default 90% quality the JPG is visually the same as the HEIC original, though the file is usually larger.
Can I convert Live Photos or burst shots?
The still image of a Live Photo converts normally. Multi-image HEIC files are converted using their main image.
Is location data kept?
No. The converted JPG does not include the original's EXIF data such as GPS location, which is a privacy bonus when sharing photos.
