How to use the transparent png

  1. Add your photoDrag an image onto the box, tap to pick one from your phone, or paste it with Ctrl+V. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all work.
  2. Wait a few secondsOur AI model separates the subject from the background - fine hair and edges included.
  3. Pick a backgroundKeep it transparent, or choose white or any solid colour - handy for product listings and profile photos.
  4. DownloadSave a full-resolution PNG with no watermark, or send the result straight to the image converter or resizer.

What a transparent PNG is for

A transparent PNG keeps only the subject and makes everything else see-through, so it sits cleanly on any colour or picture. It is the format you need for logos on a website, people and products on slides, stickers, thumbnails and design mock-ups.

JPG files cannot store transparency, which is why a logo saved as JPG always shows a white box. This tool removes the background with AI and saves the result as PNG with a proper alpha channel.

Need a smaller file?

Transparent PNGs can be large. If the image is going on a website, convert it to WebP with our PNG to WebP converter - WebP keeps the transparency and is often 50-80% smaller.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my transparent image show a white or black background?
Some apps and image viewers display transparency as white or black. The PNG itself is still transparent - place it on a coloured slide or web page and the background will disappear.
Can I make a logo background transparent?
Yes. It works on logos, icons and signatures as well as photos. For simple logos on a flat colour, the edges come out very clean.
Does the PNG lose quality?
No. The result is saved at the same resolution as your original, and PNG is a lossless format.
