Real-World Use Cases
Reminders that actually reach you
Text "remind me at 3pm to call the dentist" and AI Chat SMS texts you back right on time. Because it lives in your phone's native Messages app, the reminder arrives where you already look — no app to open, no account to manage. One parent reviewer said she set a reminder by text on her commute and made it to pickup on time. If you want a chat assistant that also handles scheduling, see Cal.ai.
Daily briefings on the topics you care about
Subscribe to research reports on any topic — news, weather, sports — delivered straight to your texts. One reviewer gets Hornets scores every morning and calls it the only AI thing he actually keeps using. You can also just ask things like "what's the weather in Charlotte" or "should I bring a jacket tonight" and get a concise answer back. For deeper research-style answers, compare with Perplexity AI Deep Research.
A memory that picks up where you left off
Long-term memory means your bot remembers past conversations, so you can resume a thread weeks later without re-explaining yourself. Combined with bookmarks (/save and recall) and quick actions like /weather, /math, and /translate, it works like a running notebook inside your Messages app. If you prefer a multi-model desktop chat workspace with saved history, look at ChatHub.
Create images and switch personas by text
Ask for "draw a frog in a tuxedo" or "make a logo for a bakery called crumb" using /image anything, and get the result back in your texts. Switch modes with /mode tutor, /mode coach, or /mode creative to change how your bot responds. It's the same assistant on iPhone via iMessage and on Android via SMS or RCS through your carrier. For a broader multi-model chat client, see Chatbox.
